First Time voter

Today wasn't an ordinary day, election day. Not the Presidential election, but I think it is called Midterm election something. Since I turned 18 last year, I got registered as a voter a couple months after my birthday.
I remember the jealous feeling back in 2010 during the Presidential election, I wished back then that sixteens  were already allowed to vote. Obviously I was a different person three years ago, in some ways. My brother on the other hand was very excited to vote since a few weeks ago, he asked questions to my parents. Stupid ones actually! haha. Then my Mother told us who we should vote for- which I think is very inappropriate. My father, well, my usual father who is so like me. Silent but I know he's very wise with his decisions.
Yesterday, rather last night I caught a cold. So I was really sick this morning and the headache made it worse. My mother was screaming at me, she doesn't want to vote at noon for she's going somewhere. haix! I knew my precint since I checked it on the website last night (wow! responsible) but looking for that precint was difficult. I passed by it many times. ha! Finally I found 1190B and looked for my name on the list just to be sure. And of course I joined the line. How I hate lines. When it was my turn, I was so surprised with the ballot. It was long. I felt a bit dizzy, I left my eyeglasses. Most voters were covering their ballot with the folder on the armdesk like in exams. I didn't do it. Even in exams. So, I voted for 4 Senators out of 12, 4 counselors out of 8, no party list- why? there were tons of them, it said vote for 1, this government is so wrong! I voted for mayor of course, vice mayor and congressman. The ink on my nail isn't a mess, thank you to that lady for doing a good job.
After that, I went to look for my parents, they were still waiting for their turn. Which was a good thing. I thing this is the best thing that happened to me today. The last time I went to visit my elementary school was in my sophomore year in high school. Years passed and now the school looked different. I went for a walk around the campus, there are new buildings, mini parks. Beautiful! It was so beautiful! Seven years ago I used to play with my classmates, there were no buildings there only boulders, trees. Oh God! I miss those times. I can't wait to be with them again, only a few months from now.
It's already past 10 and there are already results, partial and unofficial. I don't know! People are posting their sentiments now, why this certain candidate shouldn't be on the list blah blah blah. I understand them though,  sixteen year old me does. Whoever does win, just do your fuckin' job, okay?! Don't ever steal and be smart.
Politics isn't really my thing.

this is not Goodreads!

(Requiem by Lauren Oliver, Delirium Stories: Hana, Annabel, Raven by Lauren Oliver, The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald, The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick, Every Day by David Levithan, Hush Hush (#1) by Becca Fitzpatrick, Crescendo (Hush Hush #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick, Silence (Hush Hush #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick, Finale (Hush Hush #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick)

Those above are the books I have finished reading since March 25. Since it's vacation, I have plenty of time to read but due to my poor eyesight I have to limit the hours I read to avoid headache and my Mother's rants.

Delirium Stories: Hana, Annabel & Raven: (book) Since I have already read Hana's POV last year, I didn't read it again. Annabel's POV,was a big help. She's Lena's mother and her character was very mysterious. Raven's POV on the other hand gave me tears. She counted her story on how she got Blue. Oh Raven! If you've read the two previous book of the trilogy, you must also read the short stories including Alex's before reading the third book.
Requiem: (book) The last book in the Delirium trilogy. The book contains Lena and Hana's POV. Which I really enjoyed. Change of scenes and happenings. Lauren Oliver made this very unpredictable, Requiem was almost perfect except the ending. I hated it! Lauren Oliver broke my heart. PS! Alex's POV can also be found at the last pages.
The Great Gatsby: (ebook) I challenged myself to read this classic novel. It took me days to finish this. I really didn't enjoy it. The story was good but it didn't give me feels.
The Silver Linings Playbook: (ebook) It was last year when I first heard about the movie. Two of my favorite celebrities, Hottest Man of 2011 Bradley Cooper and the Queen of Derps Jennifer Lawrence. The movie was such a great hit and I was a complete loser to not watch it. But really not. I decided to read it first before getting a copy of the movie from my friend. Enough with the movie. Let's talk about the novel. WOW! Beautifully-written. Pat Peoples is the main character and also the narrator. He was like Charlie from The Perks of Being a Wallflower, just an older version of Charlie. haha. This book is a spoiler of classic novels! I love the book so much. 5 out of 5.
Every Day: (ebook) This is a story of A who lives in a different body every day. I have so many questions when I finished reading it. I wanted more of it. and yeah, I cried. Just read this book, okay!
Hush Hush: (ebook) I've been planning on reading this since last year, I didn't trust my instincts then. So, this is about angels. Fallen angels, stuff like that. This was good. I first thought it was similar to the Twilight Saga. Hell yeah! Somehow.
Crescendo: (ebook) Worst book in the series! Nora Grey is the protagonist. A stupid, envious main character. I wanted to stop reading it but I'm not really that type of person. My patience was already at the bottom.
Silence: (ebook) Better than the previous one. This is just like a recall of the second book actually. Stupid romance, really!
Finale: (ebook) You have no idea how happy I was that I made it to the last book. Well, this turned out to a good one. Best book in the series! I loved the characters, Vee especially, Scott, Marcie. I still didn't like Nora. She was still really stupid and damn envious. Patch, the fallen angel, I also didn't really like him. I felt no sincerity in him. I hated their romance. They kept on repeating what they tell each other and Nora was so annoying. This is the first time I wanted to kill the main character of the book. As I said, this was good. There was a lil tear for Scott from me. (If you're like me, don't read this saga. It's a waste of time, read other books)

Looking for Alaska by John Green

Last month, my Mother bought me the John Green box set, it has 4 books in it: Looking for Alaska, Abundance of Katherine, Paper Towns, and The Fault in Our Stars. Thank you again Ma!
So, John Green! We meet again. I have read The Fault in Our Stars couple months ago. No matter how I wanted to hate John Green for killing Augustus (spoiler!) I just couldn't. So, now I'm currently reading Looking for Alaska, have finished few pages since yesterday. So far, he hasn't killed anybody. I just don't know what to expect. This is his first book, I think. First ed, 2005.

Infinity it is!

I'm still a lil bit hangover from yesterday's outing. No! there was completely no alcoholic drinks to be blamed for the hangover. It was the fun. The kind of fun that will never be forgotten.
So, yesterday I got to spend a couple hours with my high school buddies. The only people who would laugh at the idea that I'm very silent and well behaved in my college classes.
I arrived at the venue in the afternoon and I was happy that we weren't just few and the others arrived after me. The attendance was pretty good. don't ask about the food!
So, Mark brought Sheena. Sheena from their JEEP class who Jerome just recently mentioned to us and now Mark's girlfriend. She turned out to be a pretty simple looking young lady and very friendly. Raden also brought his new girlfriend who I just realized I have met before. Not sure when was that. And the most important guest was Renren. He is Rex's 9 year old cousin. OhMyGod! that kid was unbelievable. Grabe kung manlait. He made us all laugh without intentionally doing it. I wanted to take a picture with him but he was very hesitant. But after a few hours, he started calling me Ate Beah from Iguana which was a relief. Rex also told me Renren wanted to take a photo with me already. Yes to that!
We also had JhonJhoe and Tony. Jake was also there, he's a Galileo, so that's not a big deal. :))
I really did miss them, especially Cynthia and Mich. Cynthia has an accent now. haha. two years in Cebu ha! Ramisses was really funny, as he is always.

That's me with Renren. :))
I have this on my instagram, and our former classmate said we still all look the same. yay

gays. they pretend to be gays, except for Jake!

Us. Without Gel, Gab, Sheena, and Faith (?) who went home earlier.

It was already past 8pm when I arrived home and I had to be quick in taking my shower so I won't miss The Script on Myx Presents at 9pm. My phone was buzzing with messages, as I was reading all the group messages I received. Gian's gm was very heartwarming.
Truth is, people change. And by that it also means everything changes. I'm just overwhelmed and thankful of the friends I met in high school. One thing I'm sure is that I'll never find a group of people like them. God, I love them and I hope to spend more time with them.

Crazy night!

Few days back, I hanged out with three of my favorite people. We went out dinner and went to see the lights at downtown.
Jake, Aren, Jerome, I. At Tsokolate, of course, favorite place since high school

After having our dinner, we headed straight the city hall to see the christmas lights. They were brilliant!
Since the road was closed for safety and security purposes, I had an idea. You know, The Beatles, Abbey Road.... I've been wanting to do it for ages.

Just the three of us. We didn't know anyone around to do us a favour so Jake volunteered to take the photo. I say, this was pretty good. Jerome's leg was just pretentious. One does not cross the street with a huge step like that. :)

Second. This time, Jake saw a friend and we asked him a favour. Thank you Jake's friend. I say, this was a huge fail. C'mon! Jake tricked us and the photo was not taken correctly.

They were asking me to take photos of them and a kid was wandering around and I included her in most of the photos. She was just so adorable, we asked her daddy if we could take a photo with her. I thought it was unfair that I won't have a picture with the kid but see what happened.....
Instead of staying with my friends to be photographed by me, she approached me. awwww. that was so sweet and i eventually grabbed the opportunity. omg! look at her! that face is just so cute. my brother said she's like a snow man. lol

Ooppps! We forgot to asked her name. Loser us! My camera was almost dying. this was the last photo. and we thought of going to Carmie's. She's a good friend from high school too, and she lives near the park of their community and they have lights there too.

I don't have photos from Carmie's place. well yeah, we went back to town so Aren can get a ride. It was around 10pm, she's a got a ride and we didn't. Then it started to rain, real hard! We were stranded outside a mall. It was freakin' scary. The sky was filled with lightning and the thunder was not a joke. I swear, cried there. geez. Never been that scared of my life before. And that night was two days before December 21. I know the Mayan thing is stupid but during that time I was thinking it's going to happen. But it didn't because it was stupid. That was just a form of desperation, I guess.

Anyway, it's the 24th. Happy Birthday Louis Tomlinson! and Happy Christmas to all.

xoxo
